The Story of Odonata
The daughter of a "rockhound", Eileen Clark was always on the hunt for interesting treasures. "Dad and I agreed that we always walk looking downward. You never know what you might find in a gravel parking lot!" Her Mom instilled a love of arts and crafts that lead to Eileen earning a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree. Through the years she explored many types of art. In the 1990's she began creating jewelry as thank you gifts for the special educators and therapists who worked with her children. In 2004 the boys were settled into new programs and she found herself with some time for herself. Sit down with a book? Nahhhh.... She decided to take a leap from therapeutic hobby to part time therapeutic Business! Since then Eileen has enjoyed exhibiting at shows and in stores. What’s in a name? Odonata is the scientific name for dragonflies. Not only are they beautiful but they can move in several directions very quickly. They are known to adapt to ever changing environments. Spiritually they represent mindfulness, creation and happiness. “From collecting to creating to engaging with customers, this venture keeps me energized and present in the moment.”
